Crisis & Immediate Support

When You Need Support Right Away

Embark Therapeutic Services. LLC provides outpatient therapy designed to support healing, growth, and long-term wellness. While therapy can be deeply supportive, it is not designed to replace crisis or emergency services.

If you are experiencing thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, feel unsafe, or are in emotional distress that feels overwhelming, urgent, or is prohibiting you from being able to use your coping skills or Safety Plan, immediate support is available.

You deserve care that is responsive, safe, and timely.

🌿 When Things Feel Urgent but Not Emergency-Level

You may consider reaching out to crisis or warmline services if you need support outside of scheduled therapy sessions or are navigating a difficult emotional moment.

Oregon Warmline (Peer Support) 1-800-698-2392

The Warmline provides:

  • Non-crisis emotional support

  • Connection with trained peer specialists

  • Support navigating stress, anxiety, or loneliness

⚠️ Signs It May Be Time to Seek Immediate Crisis Support

You may benefit from urgent support if you are experiencing:

  • Thoughts of suicide or self-harm

  • Feeling unable to stay safe

  • Intense emotional distress that feels uncontrollable

  • Substance use that is escalating quickly

  • Sudden changes in behavior or functioning

  • Feeling disconnected from reality or unable to care for your basic needs

If you are unsure whether your situation qualifies as a crisis, it is okay to reach out anyway. Crisis support professionals are there to help you assess what you need.

💬 If You Are a Current Embark Client

If you are experiencing increased distress between sessions:

• Review grounding or coping strategies discussed in therapy - attempt to use your Safety Plan
• Contact crisis resources listed below for immediate evaluation and support
• If you are at imminent risk of being harmed or harming others, immediately call 9-1-1 or go to an emergency room

Embark clinicians do not provide emergency or after-hours crisis services.

🧭 How to Escalate Care if Therapy Alone is Not Enough

Sometimes healing requires additional layers of support. If outpatient therapy is not providing enough stabilization, you may consider:

  • Psychiatric medication evaluation

  • Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)

  • Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)

  • Residential or inpatient treatment

If higher levels of care appear beneficial, Embark Therapeutic Services, LLC can help provide referrals and coordination when appropriate.

🌱 You Are Not Alone

Reaching out for support during moments of crisis can feel difficult. It is also a powerful step toward safety and stabilization. Immediate support services exist to meet you with care, compassion, and respect.

An Invitation

If you are seeking ongoing therapy support for trauma, emotional regulation, attachment concerns, or addictive behaviors, Embark offers outpatient therapy designed to help you build long-term resilience and healing.

It’s common to seek support before having clear language for what you’re experiencing. You don’t need to be in crisis—or certain—to begin exploring care.

If therapy feels like it might help but you’re unsure where to start, you’re welcome to learn more about our practice and how we work.
